Automatic sync and offline play

The game automatically creates a guest online identity and syncs when connected. There is no online/offline preference or first-launch choice in this version. Your local progress stays on this device, and core gameplay never waits for sign-in or an upload. Saved work retries from menus when a connection is available. Internet parties need a connection; nearby play works offline.

Your player identity

Online features use Google Firebase to create a guest account with a persistent account identifier and a unique player name. No email, password, phone number, address-book access or Game Center sign-in is requested. You can choose one custom name and change your animal. Your account identifier still links your saved records together: a guest account is not an unlinked or anonymous collection of scores. Accounts on different devices are not automatically linked, and there is no cross-device sign-in or recovery option in this version.

What syncs privately

We store finished-play records: level, time, difficulty, speed, mode, stray-tap rule, score, judgment counts and whether the play was solo or multiplayer. Cooperative team results are marked separately and cannot become individual leaderboard scores. We also back up best scores, story and ending acknowledgments, skips, toy and song ownership, and a ticket-balance snapshot. Your ticket balance is not restored or combined across devices. Saved local plays can upload after you reconnect. These private records are used for progress sync and history; uploading an old or offline score does not make it a verified leaderboard result.

Scores and parties

When a run has a server-issued verification lease, we send its tap and release times, lanes, prepared chart information and result for server checking. These are input events, not microphone or screen recordings. Eligible production results may appear on public leaderboards with your player name, animal and score. A board can show one eligible player. Scores are separated by period, rules and chart revision. Party members can see player names, animals, shared level settings, readiness and results. Global internet rooms are discoverable by other online players; friends-only rooms restrict admission.

Friends, blocks and reports

We keep in-game friend requests, friendships, block lists and reports you submit. Other players can find your public profile by its player name. Reports include the reporting and reported account IDs, reason and optional text, and are available to the game's operator for review. The game does not read your device's address book and has no private chat.

Service providers and security

Google Firebase provides authentication, database storage and server functions. Firebase App Check and Apple's App Attest help verify requests from the app. Providers process security information such as IP addresses, user-agent information, attestation objects and tokens. The game's database is hosted in the United States; provider services may process information in other locations under their own policies. This build has no ads, advertising tracking, Google Analytics or Crashlytics integration. Google describes its service data and retention here: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

How long records stay

Profiles, private play history, progress backups and social relationships remain until account deletion. Our configured cleanup periods are seven days for run metadata, 90 days for input replays, 100 days for leaderboard records, 180 days for reports, two days for request receipts and one day for room documents. Nearby admission proofs expire after two minutes. Automatic database cleanup is asynchronous, so a cleanup date is not an exact physical-deletion time. Providers retain separate security and operational records under their policies.

When the connection is unavailable

You can keep playing from local saves without a connection. Pending history and progress remain on the device for a later retry. Solo gameplay pauses background sync to protect timing. Online parties exchange sparse presence and reaction updates during a song; the audio clock never waits for these requests. Finished plays and progress retry from menus. Losing connectivity does not hide or delete names, friendships or scores already stored online. Guest accounts on separate devices are not automatically linked.

Delete your online account

In Settings, open Privacy and choose Delete Online Account. After confirmation, the authenticated request is queued on the server, removes private and public account records, and then removes the authentication identity. If a request is pending, it retries when a connection is available. Acceptance means deletion was requested, not that every provider copy is already gone. A minimal account-ID deletion record is retained to prevent old credentials from recreating the deleted account. Your local story progress, toys and Tickets stay on this device. Online features and sync stop; the app does not automatically create a replacement account or upload the erased account’s old history. You must leave any multiplayer party before requesting deletion.
